A derivatives market targeting public stocks and government debt will be launched either in May or June as the Vietnamese government seeks to boost foreign investment.

Vietnam will launch a derivatives market in May or June, Vu Bang, chairman of the State Securities Commission (SSC), announced on March 9. Bang promised that the launch will improve the securities market and increase foreign investment.
