
Vietnam’s push for a cashless society welcome: Nokia treasurer
Vietnam is implementing a plan to improve and increase non-cash payments by 2020, which will make clearing and settlements, electronic payments, FX inter-bank markets more efficient, treasurers argue.

The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) is putting more pressure for the banking industry to be ready to move towards a cashless society by 2020. The central bank announced on March 31 it needs it entities to implement more detailed ongoing plans to facilitate non-cash payments and to submit annual progress reports.
