Thai CFOs go back to school, says SEC
While school’s out for the summer for most of Southeast Asia, Thailand’s SEC wants companies to disclose CFOs’ education and work experience to ensure they are up to speed with the latest financial developments.

Thailand’s Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has asked for feedback on draft rules that would require CFOs and accountants of public and public offering companies to ensure to prove they can produce high quality financial statements and maintaining decent “internal control systems.” Relevant companies will be required to disclose information regarding their CFOs’ and accountants’ previous and ongoing education.
