Australia’s securities watchdog has published a consultation paper on its approach to dealing with the resignation and removal of auditors of public companies. It is seeking views before August 30. The Australian Securities Investments Commission is keen to understand the cost implications to compliance, effect on competition and other impacts if its proposed changes came into effect.
