Hedging restrictions have been lifted for India’s importers, sparking an overall easing of red tape for the country’s corporates, and facilitated by a stable rupee, experts believe.
India’s central bank announced on May 27 it was raising the ceiling on which importers can hedge their rupee exposure without providing documentation from 25% to 50% of a calculated eligible limit.
