A ban on auditors of US-listed Chinese companies threatened by the US regulator is unlikely to affect Hong Kong Chinese listings.

The US Securities and Exchange Commission took the gloves off in its dispute over Chinese audit papers in January after one of its judges said China affiliates of top global accounting firms should be barred from practising for failing to hand over documents concerning US-listed Chinese companies.
