
Vietnam launches derivatives but treasurer appeal may be limited
In a sign of increasing liberalisation, Vietnam’s capital market is to debut its first derivatives contracts tomorrow. Analysts say investors are unlikely to rush in.

Vietnam plans to open a derivatives market on Thursday in a bid to boost capital markets and attract institutional investors, but corporate treasurers may struggle to find cash management opportunities in the nascent market.
