
South Korean growth in the doldrums
Korea's growth is on the slide, posting on 2.4% between April and June, the weakest it has been since 2009.

Year-on-year growth for South Korea slowed to 2.4% in the April-June period. This is the weakest rate for almost three years, the Bank of Korea announced on July 26. The news doesn’t bode well; the country’s export-oriented economy is often viewed as a bellwether for global trade.
