Siam Cement’s ASEAN expansion

Thailand's second largest company, Siam Cement Group (SCG), announced in July its plans to invest $400 million to build a plant in Myanmar’s Mawlamyine, 300 kilometers southeast of Yangon. The news comes only three months after it told the market it will invest $370 million in a plant in Laos expected to be operational in 2017.
