
Hong Kong attracts almost 10,000 foreign firms as tourism rebounds
Firms with parent companies overseas in 2024 grew 10% in the city while almost 500,000 have applied to come under talent schemes; in addition, tourism has increased 12% to 24 million in the first six months of this year as the government releases a new business report.

In 2024, the number of companies in Hong Kong with parent companies located outside the Special Administrative Region (SAR) increased by about 10%, reaching nearly 10,000, while the number of start-ups reached nearly 4,700, both reaching record highs.
