As cash-strapped banks offer high rates for long-term deposits, a wise treasurer tell CT he's sticking to one-month deposits. After all, rates can only go up as liquidity is squeezed further.

Hong Kong's era of super-low interest rates already seems a long time ago. Now banks, under pressure from a liquidity squeeze, are offering eye-popping deposit rates to treasurers willing to leave cash with them for periods of three months or more.
