Banks have had plenty to worry about when it comes to e-commerce platforms and their payment services. They have been built with the latest technology, they have abundant data on their customers’ behaviour, and the payment volumes running over their sites mean that some transaction bankers fear these new players could usurp their position in payments, and offer their corporate clients a better solution.
