
China courts Singapore for One Belt, One Road
China has earmarked the Lion City as a crucial financing and investment hub for its Eurasian trade gambit.

It seems China is on a mission to flatter the Lion City. Speaking at the China-Singapore Business Council in Singapore on July 27, the country’s vice minister of foreign affairs and former ambassador to the UK, Fu Ying, was keen to articulate the vision for the “One Belt, One Road” initiative and the important role she hopes Singapore will play.
