
Alipay+ connects 2 million merchants in Japan; GLN signs QR agreement with Asia United Bank
Interconnected QR code payment systems continue to be developed across Asia Pacific, facilitating cross-border retail payments while maximising user experiences.

Alipay announced that over 2 million merchants in Japan have now been connected to its ‘Alipay+’ scheme, which connects and offers interoperability among various e-wallets in different markets, offering smoother payment experiences, mainly for retail cross-border tourists.
