A study has revealed settlement delays, disproportionate fees, and fragmented regulations are stifling SME growth across Asean despite their central role in trade.

There is a $6 trillion so-called “opportunity gap” in SME cross-border payments, according to a whitepaper from MetaComp, a Singapore-headquartered FX and digital assets infrastructure provider headquartered has released, Cross-Border Payments for SMEs: Voices in Asean and the Rise of Stablecoins.
