
Thailand aims to bolster financial inclusivity with virtual banks
The Bank of Thailand opened its application process to set-up digital only banks in late March, and is expecting licensed parties to commence operation within a year of qualification.

Thailand opened its application process for virtual banks operation license in the country in early March, attracting Bangkok-based conglomerate Charoen Pokphand Group and power provider Gulf Energy Development vying for the accreditation to open a fully online banking institution within the next two years, according to media.
