MNCs may be allowed to hedge for Indian subsidiaries
India's central bank proposes change to rules that force subsidiaries to settle their own hedging transactions, a move that would cut costs and improve efficiency for MNCs.
Multi-national companies with subsidiaries in India could soon be allowed to carry out hedging centrally as the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) mulls changing rules that force the subsidiary itself to organise each hedging transaction through an authorised dealer (AD).
