James Emmett has been appointed HSBC’s head of global trade and receivables finance (GTRF), relocating a key trade finance position to London.

Seventeen-year HSBC stalwart James Emmett (pictured) has been tapped as the bank’s new head of global trade and receivables finance. He is replacing Rakesh Bhatia, who will be moving to another position within the bank that has yet to be determined. Emmett will report to Alan Keir, group managing director and global head, commercial banking.
