Facebook's CFO has received bitter commentary about its strategy of the tech company's extravagant IPO. CFOs, however, have come to his defence.

It’s been a downpour to say the least. The opinions on Facebook CFO David Ebersman’s IPO performance have generally been from an investor perspective, and as such, extravagantly negative.  The Wall Street Journal called the offering a fumble; UK’s The Guardian proclaimed it a debacle of greed, hubris, and incompetence; and Thomson Reuters referred to it as a botched feeding frenzy good only for the lawyers.
