Expert panellists in Hong Kong discussed the rise of private credit as a preferred debt structure in Asia, as interest rates remain high and traditional bond issuance slows down.

Private credit is gaining popularity in the Asia Pacific (Apac) region. Last month, Goldman Sachs joined hands with UAE sovereign investor Mubadala Investment Company, to create a $1 billion private credit fund targeting opportunities across Apac, with a focus on India.
