AirTrunk lands $2.325bn Malaysia data centre green financing
As Apac green financing grows, the funding, backed by 30 institutions including IFC, will help develop hyperscale campus JHB2 in Johor, which is targeting a design power usage effectiveness of 1.37 and using water-efficient cooling technology.
Blackstone-backed data centre giant AiirTrunk has secured $2.325 billion (RM9.5 billion) in green financing under the data centre firm’s Green Financing Framework to support the sustainable development of its JHB2 hyperscale data centre campus in Johor Bahru, the capital city of the Malaysian state of Johor.
