Wanna face off against Alibaba’s treasurer? FinTank 2018 is here

By Daniel Flatt | Jan 23, 2018

Do you have a groundbreaking solution that could change the working lives of thousands of CFOs and treasurers in Asia forever? CT’s FinTank is your chance to shine

From the groundswell of young and hungry entrepreneurs looking to disrupt the old banking model, a host of exciting technology solutions have emerged revolutionising the way we make payments, how we borrow, how we invest, and how we organise our own corporate data to make our businesses more efficient.

Funding for these fintech startups has grown rapidly in recent years, with estimates of more than $40 billion being pumped into the market in the last four years alone. However, as consultancy firm PwC recognises, these companies “don’t just need capital, they need customers”.

That is precisely why CorporateTreasurer has created the FinTank, the world’s first live targeted competition, specific to the treasury FinTech space, where startups are able to gain direct exposure to their product’s ultimate end-users.

This unique opportunity will allow entrepreneurs to present their solutions to a panel of the region’s most sophisticated (and grumpiest!) corporate treasurers and CFOs, including Alibaba’s vice president of treasury, Randy Ou.

Not only will you receive exclusive and constructive feedback from the panel about the practical benefits of your solution but also the top three highest rated will get the opportunity to promote their “FinTank-proof” solutions on the CorporateTreasurer website for one year, gaining you exposure to up to 9,000 of Asia-Pacific’s top finance and treasury decision makers*.

Can you solve CFOs’ problems?
When you make your online submission, think carefully about how your solution can make lives easier. To help get you on your way, ask yourself:

  • Can your solution disrupt the traditional payments model?
  • Does your product enable easier access to funding?
  • Can you help companies put corporate data to good use?

Once submitted, our panel of treasury experts will rate the solutions based on five core elements: value for money, innovation, usability, relevance, longevity. Based on the overall rating, the top 20 submissions will be put through the FinTank final round where you will get the chance to present your solution live to the treasury panelists. This will be held on March 7 in Singapore.

Through this process, fintech companies will gain comprehensive and constructive feedback. Whether your products are directed specifically for the treasurers themselves or the financial institutions that they engage with on a daily basis, CorporateTreasurer’s FinTank 2018 is the ideal arena in which to pitch your product or service.
