CT announces shortlist for Asia’s Best Treasury and Finance Strategies

By CT Staff | Mar 28, 2019

CT can now reveal the shortlisted contenders for the CT Award’s Best Treasury and Finance Strategies in Asia for 2018

In December, the CorporateTreasurer editors were excited to announce a fresh and exciting change to our awards process.

For the first time, we invited an elite panel of prominent treasury practitioners to support the decision-making process, selecting individuals with a wealth of experience in across the Asia-Pacific region. The panel comprises:

  • Gogo Ko Yung-lai, President of the IACCT (China) and deputy general manager of YU XIU Enterprises
  • Damian Glendinning, ex-group treasurer of Lenovo and former president of ACTS
  • Aron Akesson, former Asia-Pacific head of treasury of Carlsberg who now runs his own treasury consultancy Triple A Treasury Ltd.

Sifting through scores of submissions, CorporateTreasurer’s editorial team had to make the hard decision to considerably reduce the pack down to 20 shortlisted entries. Today, we are proud to announce the shortlisted strategies in alphabetical order.

At this point we have engaged the Awards Panel to review the short-listed submissions and they are now adding their critical insight and technical knowledge to the debating table. We gave the panel, clear guidelines to work from:

  1. Award winning solutions must have unique working elements but have broad working appeal
  2. Solutions need to be considered on context of the country of origin and the relative sophistication of the marketplace
  3. To provide balance, weigh up the geographic scope of solutions and the variety of solutions types.

The final 10 winners of CorporateTreasurer’s Best Treasury and Finance Strategies in Asia Pacific will be announced during the awards ceremony. The dinner and celebration will be  held on the evening of April 24 in Singapore at the Swiss Merchant Court, during CTWeek.
