Asia Business FX Markets (ABFX) Survey

Ever wondered why Citi’s wallet share in spot FX in Asia has been falling dramatically or how Bank of China has upped its game servicing corporate clients options solutions in the region?

In exclusive partnership with East & Partners, CorporateTreasurer is proud to deliver a dynamic new way to access rich insights into the foreign exchange activities of the region’s most influential treasury and financial executives.

Data displayed in the demo version are sourced from East & Partners’ ninth Asian Business Foreign Exchange Market report (ABFX), a bi-annual research programme measuring industry market share, wallet share, mind share, and customer satisfaction levels of nearly 1900 companies with foreign exchange exposure and with annual turnovers ranging between $1 million and $100 million.

The demo itself provides an interactive snapshot of how the region’s top spot FX providers are fairing in terms of wallet share and overall customer satisfaction of the depth and quality of services they offer.

For the first time ever, full subscribers to this service will now be able to compare service providers’ performance against each other in a digital and interactive format. They will also gain access to East & Partners’ expert analysis and insights of the data compiled in an in-depth 98-page report on the findings.

Subscribers to the full interactive service can analyse a full suite of foreign exchange-related data, including forwards and options across six difference global and Asian currencies, overlaid against industry segments and a range of additional metrics including currency trading volume, and penetration.

You can even establish how the relationship between the company and its service provider influences service satisfaction, for example.

Methodology

The data points are updated every six months. The measures in the survey cover primary and secondary relationship market share, wallet share, mind share, customer satisfaction, and the top 3 currencies traded by volume.

The survey sample has ranged between 1,843 and 1,861 corporates for each data point across Hong Kong, Malaysia, the Philippines and Singapore with 25% of the sample from each market. 85% to 87% of the sample has been business owners, CFOs, Finance Managers and Treasurers, covering a broad range of 17 industry sectors.

Just over half (51%) of the sample is from retail, wholesale trade or or manufacturing industries. Almost 90% of the sample is taken from micro corporates (annual turnover between US$1m and US$5m) and SMEs (annual turnover between US$5m and US$20m).
