DBS poaches supply chain chief from Deustche Bank

Dec 2, 2013 | By |

Nicole Wong has been hired away from Deutshe Bank to be the new head of supply chain finance for DBS’ global transaction services (GTS).

DBS announced Wong's appointment on November 26. She will continue to be based in Singapore, and has been in the role since November 5, a bank spokesperson clarified by email.

Wong will be responsible for building up DBS’ portfolio of supply chain financing solutions, developing product scalability, and a multi-bank model. The position is newly created in response to a growing open account and supply chain finance business with the bank. She will report to Vijay Vashist, DBS's global head of trade and supply chain, GTS.

Wong was previously the Asia business head for financial supply chain at Deutsche Bank. Prior to that, she worked in the supply chain finance division in Asia for J.P. Morgan. Before joining the banking industry, she spent nearly 15 years with multinational corporations such as SGS and BP Singapore.
